Kuala Lumpur Academy of Polo is a company that specializes in high quality polo coaching in Malaysia. The KL Academy of Polo (KLAP) is based at the Kuala Lumpur Polo Club (formerly known as The Royal Selangor Polo Club), in Ampang, down-town Kuala Lumpur, and runs its riding and polo schools.
Activities are coaching polo, riding for polo and equestrian sports, running co-curricular activities for a number of schools, coaching of polo from ages 6 up, organizing riding and polo clinics, horse shows, polo tours, continued equine education and academy management. We also lease polo ponies for our members to play in club polo and tournaments.
KL Academy of Polo also runs the KL Pony Club, and assists the Riding For The Disabled Association of Malaysia.

Small number of riders in classes. Personalized coaching yields the best results.
Appropriate coaching methods.
We ensure the equipment, the saddlery, and the riding equipment is appropriate. Also, we ensure that the coaching subjects and the demand of the coaching drills are appropriate to the age and ability of the students.
Use of schoolmasters to learn on.
Suitable horses that actually help you to learn the game are worth their weight in gold. KL Academy of Polo went to Argentina and painstakingly sought out schoolmasters for this specific job. Almost all our horses are imported Argentine Criollos or Polo Ponies.
Riding and Polo is fun.
Our programs aim to make polo fun. We believe that everyone must enjoy his or her polo if they are to reach their potential, so we make sure they enjoy themselves. Polo is more than what happens on the training pitch. Our coaching extends beyond the playing field – we do provide instructional video analysis. While we are committed to skills based programmes, we do encourage a healthy mix of competitive games. Polo is a game of traditions and sportsmanship. While we try to be as competitive as possible, we also inculcate proper sporting values to everyone in our charge.
SAFETY IS A TOP PRIORITY IN EVERYTHING WE DO.
Our coaches are accredited with the Malaysian Equine Council or Federation Equestre Internationale. Our safety practices and concern with safety reduce the risk of accidents that can arise in equestrian sports and polo.
