Triple SEA Games equestrian gold medallist and 12-time South East Asian champion equestrian Peter Abisheganaden will conduct a Riding For Polo clinic at the Kuala Lumpur Polo Club in May and June 2023.

This is a clinic package of eight (8) group lessons, and a great chance to ride the acclaimed Argentine polo ponies of the KL Academy of Polo.

• Learn to ride, polo-style
• Rein holding methods
• Converting from an equestrian base to riding polo style
• Leg positions and leg aids
• Polo seat and the posting canter
• Neck reining
• Riding Off
• Polo stops and turns

Lessons will be at 8:00 AM on Tuesday and Thursday mornings by and KLAP’s Chief Riding Instructor.  The fixed dates for the eight lessons:

1. Tuesday 16^th May
2. Thursday 18^th May
3. Tuesday 23^rd May
4. Thursday 25^th May
5. Tuesday 30^th May
6. Thursday 1^st June
7. Tuesday 6^th June
8. Thursday 8^th June

The prerequisite for this course is that riders should be confident in their canter-work. Riders who are riding in at least Preliminary/Novice level dressage or 80/90 cm show jumping would be suitable to take part in this Riding For Polo clinic.

There will be no make-up lessons for those who cannot make this schedule, but any riders who wish to do additional private lessons will be encouraged.  Those who complete the Riding For Polo course of 8-lessons may also go on to Polo 101, which involves hitting technique and is an introduction to polo.

This Riding For Polo clinic of 8 Lessons is priced RM1,600 for KLPC members or RM1,850 for non-members. A maximum of six riders may enrol in this clinic.  Members have priority, and bookings are confirmed on a paid basis only.
