Kuala Lumpur Academy of Polo is a company that specializes in high quality polo coaching in Malaysia. We are a private limited company incorporated in Malaysia.

The KL Academy of Polo is based at The Royal Selangor Polo Club, in Ampang, down-town Kuala Lumpur.

Our main activities are coaching polo, and riding for polo as a co-curricular activity in schools, public coaching of polo from ages 5 up, coaching of polo teams and clubs, organizing polo clinics and camps, organizing leagues and tournaments for children, adults and veterans, organizing polo tours, and academy management.

Whether you are a beginner rider or already competent, KL Academy of Polo will take you to the next level.

KL Academy of Polo employs qualified coaches to teach horse-riding and polo.  Our Coaching Director, Andrew Gebbie, is and English 2-goal professional player who holds a Hurlingham Polo Association qualification as a polo instructor.

Coach Gebbie is assisted by a staff of foreign and local instructors, including Shaik Reismann, the captain of Malaysia’s national polo team.

While KL Academy of Polo is a new operation, Managing Director Peter Abisheganaden has been involved in running riding schools since 1987 at the Bukit Timah Saddle Club in Singapore, and since 2005 at the Royal Selangor Polo Club.  He is also the managing director of Zack’s Tack, a polo and equestrian saddlery with outlets in Malaysia and Singapore, and is also the Executive Secretary of the Royal Malaysian Polo Association.

Peter personally travelled to Argentina in November 2018 to select the eight Argentine polo ponies that are the horse-power of KL Academy of Polo.  They arrived in Malaysia on 6th March 2019 to begin 30 days of quarantine before arriving at their new home at the Royal Selangor Polo Club.
