Following the success of our Argentine Open Polo Tour last year, KL Academy of Polo is again organising a playing and viewing tour to Argentina in this year.  The Argentine Open Polo Tour is timed from Wednesday 22^nd November to Sunday 3^rd December 2023, to catch the semi-finals and final of the Argentine Polo Open.

This very special polo tour includes six days of playing polo on the wonderful Tifton polo fields, in the greatest polo country of the world.   It is a 12-day tour which begins in Buenos Aires and moves to Pilar in the suburbs of Buenos Aires, where we play polo organized by Agustin Andrada, and played at estancias around Pilar, including at the Santa Agueda club that belongs to Gines Bargallo.

This tour is suitable for players of handicaps -2 to 1 foals.  It will be played on suitable ponies, preselected by Agustin Andrada, with chukka fees and horse transport covered for play at two different club in Pilar.  For viewing, we will have special tickets to grandstand, for the semi-finals and biggest day in polo, the final of the Argentine Open, at the historic Palermo polo grounds, known as the cathedral of polo.

Full Tour

Players who purchase the Full Tour will have 4 chukkas on each of the six (6) polo play days, a total of 24 chukkas.

As part of the tour, we will organize an asado, and visits to mallet and boot makers, and saddlery & equipment shops, and to other polo games to watch such as the Camara Diputados, Thai Polo Open (Argentina) and the Women’s Open Final.

Costs are as follows:

• Full Tour – USD$6,500.00
• Early Bird Price – USD$6,000 if paid by 1^st September 2023.
• Social Tour (Argentine Open Tickets & Social Events only) – USD$780

The tour includes ponies for polo and stick and ball on at least two separate occasions, chukka fees, horse transport between venues, a polo concierge, vet on stand-by, one scheduled asado, and grandstand tickets to both semi-finals and the final of the Argentine Open (three occassions).

It does not, however, include accommodation, car rental, meals or flights. Recommended hotels near our playing locations are: Hilton Pilar, Sheraton Pilar, Ibis Pilar, Howard Johnson and La Posta.

Bookings, Confirmations and Conditions

• Bookings are on a confirmed basis only.
• Full Tour Confirmations are based on a 50% deposit, payable by 1^st September 2023.
• The balance 50% payment is due by 15^th October 2023.
• Cancellations by 15^th October would have half the deposit refunded.
• To qualify for the Early Bird price, the payment of USD$6,000 has to be made in full by 1^st September 2023.
