Albert Tan

From 2011 to 2015, Albert served as the Regional Development Officer for the Federation of International Polo. In this role, he was instrumental in launching the FIP Development Pathway Programs and co-facilitated the Zone D Umpire’s Education Program. Albert also made significant contributions to sports coaching, leading the Singapore under-15 boys’ National 7s Rugby team as head coach from 2016 to 2018.

During his earlier years, Albert was a dedicated rugby player for the Singapore Armed Forces Sports Association (SAFSA). He also competed in Muay Thai, where he achieved a fight record of 3 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw. These athletic accomplishments were achieved over 20 years ago when Albert was in his 20s.

Now in his 40s, Albert continues to embrace his passion for sports, though his focus has shifted. While he still actively practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to maintain a balance between his professional commitments and his love for sports, he has transitioned into a coaching role for athletes. His students include Lin Heqin and Chen Rui from ONE Championship, Xie Bin from UFC, and Woo Chan Lee from the Korean National Muaythai team.
