The Selangor Polo Club (TSPC) announced mid-season handicap revisions effective 1st May 2022, and both Julian Lancia and Amirul Aimann have been rewarded with double promotions.  The young KL Academy of Polo stars have been rewarded with a rise from -2 to -1 effective 1st May, and from -1 to 0 from 1st October.

Julian and Aimann are the first Malaysian-based players to be double promoted in over twenty years.

Congratulations to both these young players.

Julian is only 15 years old, and Aimann not much older, at 16 years old.   Both starred in the 1st Malaysia Youth Polo Tournament, with Aimann winning the tournament and MVP and Julian snagging best junior player.  They went on to be named joint MVP’s at the TSPC Low Goal Tournament immediately after the 1MYPT.  Earlier in they year, Aimann and Julian were also on the winning team at the Battle of the Sexes.

With summer holidays coming up, Julian will intern at the Calgary Polo Club, in Alberta, Canada.  Aimann is hoping to get a start in the 6-goal Triple Crown series at The Selangor Polo Club.
