KL Academy of Polo’s intern, Julian Lancia, has launched his own polo website. It is housed at https://julianashbylancia.wixsite.com/juju-polo/

It details this young man’s introduction to polo.  As a 15-year-old player who is essentially still in his first season, it is full of ‘firsts.’

It starts with My First Join-Up, where Julian describes his natural horsemanship join-up with an ex-racehorse called Specky, at the Selangor Turf Club.   Then there is First Malaysian Youth Polo Tournament, and after that, My First Low Goal Tournament.  Now he has got My First 6-Goal Tournament.

Julian has interned at Kuala Lumpur Academy of Polo, and was in the first batch of graduates from KL Academy of Polo to pass the club’s polo test in 2020, when he was still 13 years old. The MCO2 lockdowns delayed his debut to polo, but since October last year, Julian has had a remarkable run.

As Julian goes through the gears, it is important to remember that this remarkable kid is only just 15-years old.  His handicap has already been raised to -1 now, and will rise to zero in October.

Julian gets a chance to intern at the Calgary Polo Club in Canada during his summer holidays.  We hope he impresses Canada as much as he has already impressed Malaysia.
