KL Academy of Polo is organising a Training Horse Show on Sunday 12th February 2023, at the Kuala Lumpur Polo Club.

Show Classes start at 7:30 AM.  These will be judged by Natasha Mustapha and Peter Abisheganaden.

• S1 Best rider 6 – 10 years – lead rein;
• S2 Best rider 6 – 10 years – independent;
• S3 Best rider 11 – 14 years – lead rein;
• S4 Best rider 11 – 14 years – independent;
• S5 Best rider 15 – 18 years – independent;
• S6 Best rider above 18 years – independent;

Lead rein – if you need a leader, RM 15 on top of entry fees. Need to be able to walk and trot (rising/sitting) and stop a horse, with someone leading.

Independent – need to be able to walk, trot and canter independently in a group situation.

You will be asked to walk, trot and canter on the left and right rein. Figure of 8.

Judged based on position, effectiveness and correctness of aids, and turn-out.

Dressage starts 9:00 a.m. FEI 2* Dressage Judge Ms Ong Wan Ming will judge the tests.

• D7         EA Preparatory A;
• D8        EA Preliminary 1B;

Showjumping Equitation will start after the dressage, at approximately 10:30 a.m. The Showjumping Equitation classes will be judged by Ms Ong Wan Ming.

• SJEQ9                Showjumping Equitation Poles Only
• SJEQ10              Showjumping Equitation 40 – 60 cm
• SJEQ11               Showjumping Equitation 60 – 80 cm

The entry fees, horse rental and insurance charges are as follows:

• RM 50 per class, per entry, for KLPC Members.
• RM 75 per class per entry for Temporary Members or non-members.
• KLPC/KLAP horses are available for rental at RM50/class for members and RM100/class for temporary or non-members.
• KLPC Instructors – There will be a RM50 charge for riders wishing instruction during warm-ups.
• Temporary stables are available at a charge of RM240 each for a maximum three-day stay.
• All entry fees and stabling must be prepaid or charged to a member’s account with the closing of entries.
• Entry Closing Date is Friday 10th February 2023
• Late entries, if accepted, will incur a 50% penalty charge.
• Dress Code: White or beige breeches, long boots or jodhpur boots with matching mini chaps. White shirt and tie, or KL Academy of Polo or KLPC/Selangor Polo Club shirts only.
• Rosettes and Vouchers will be presented in the arena after each class. Riders must be mounted to receive their prizes.
